The Tradesman and the HFE
The base trims of full-size pickups are often referred to as work trucks, which is where the Tradesman moniker comes from. But this is a rather well-equipped work truck. It has air conditioning, a Uconnect infotainment system, Wi-Fi hotspot and push-button start. HFE stands for High Fuel Economy. The HFE Ram 1500 is essentially a Tradesman that has been configured for better fuel performance. It is a good option for people who use there 1500s more as commuters than work trucks.
The Big Horn and the Laramie
The Big Horn is the up-level 1500 and the Laramie is the well-equipped 1500. There is also a Rebel trim, which is essentially an off-road-oriented Laramie. The Big Horn upgrades the rear seat to a 60/40 split and adds foglamps and 18-inch wheels. This is also where you get the option for an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Other options include a power sunroof and the Night Edition appearance package. The Laramie adds the 8.4-inch screen standard and offers a 12.0-inch screen. This is also where the Advanced Safety Group becomes available. It adds automatic high beam control, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree rearview camera, a full-speed forward collision detection system and more.
The Longhorn and the Limited
The Laramie Longhorn available for sale near Alhambra is the luxury-oriented version of the Laramie. It adds deluxe front bucket seats covered in a premium leather as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also adds a spray-in liner for the bed and makes the navigation system standard equipment. The Limited is only available with the crew cab and short box because it comes standard with a four-corner air suspension. It also makes the portrait-oriented 12.0-inch touchscreen standard equipment.
